Body found in Florida Highlands

Marion County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes and Evidence Units responded to a wooded area off of SW 105th Avenue in the Florida Highlands on Thursday, March 10, to dig for a body. Detectives focused on the area following leads that developed in an ongoing investigation. The body was located at the scene, approximately 4-5 feet in the earth.
