African Violet Club of Ocala meets monthly
For those that love the pretty little flowers produced by an African Violet consider the African Violet Club of Ocala. The group meets the fourth Saturday of each month, except Nov. and December, to share their knowledge of the house plant. The fun, informative meetings are held at 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 at the Sheriff's Substation on State Road 200. Membership is only $12 a year and refreshments are served each meeting.
Marion County Rose Society
The Marion County Rose Society meets most months on the third Sunday of the month at 2:30 p.m. The meetings are open to anyone who wants to have fun learning and sharing about their love of roses. Meetings always include an informative program, a short business meeting, tasty refreshments and plenty of time to visit with one another. Perhaps most important is the opportunity to ask our Consulting Rosarians questions about how to grow great roses or about problems you may be having in your garden.
The MCRS is an affiliate of the American Rose Society.
