If you knew one conversation could make all the difference, would you remain silent?

Learn how to start the conversation about end-of-life preferences and gain peace of mind for you and your loved ones through a free, four-part series taught at the Marion County UF/IFAS Extension Service Family and Consumer Sciences instructor, Lynda Spence. Sessions will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on July 19, 21, 26 and 28, in Extension Service’s classroom at 2232 NE Jacksonville Road, Ocala.

“The Art of Goodbye: an interdisciplinary approach to end-of-life education” helps participants explore end-of-life concerns through activities, discussion and input from experts. Participants explore personal values and beliefs to increase self-determination of plans and communicating with family, friends and healthcare providers. Breaking the silence helps normalize historically taboo conversations.

This class underscores the county’s strategic goal of increasing public outreach. For more information and to save your seat, contact Marion County UF/IFAS Extension Service at 352-671-8400.
