Several Marion County Sheriff’s deputies were on an unrelated call in the area of Northwest 44 Street when they learned of a nearby armed robbery and then arrested the suspects.
Deputies arrested, Joshua C. Nunn, 19, Vondell Antonio Monroe, 18, Charles Goodson, 18, and Tevin Hargrove, 19, last Sunday evening. Dec. 5.
According to the press release from the sheriff’s office, the victim of the armed robbery told the 9-1-1 call taker the suspects “were wearing dark clothing with everything covered up and had a gun.”
The victim was walking within the fenced yard of his property toward his home when two men hopped the fence of his property. Another man stayed outside the fence line. Each man hid his face with the hood of his sweatshirt.
One of the men demanded the victim’s money with a gun in his hand. He reached into the vicitm’s pocket and took both cash and checks, the report said.
Deputies saw a car with four males leaving the area and stopped the car. One suspect started running but was tracked by Apollo, a police dog.
Each suspect was jailed. Bond was set at least $50,000 for each suspect.
