Messiah CD from OSO now on sale
Copies of the recording of the Ocala Symphony Orchestra and Choir performing Handel’s Messiah on Nov. 21 are available for purchase at the Orchestra’s Downtown Ocala office. Price is $15 and features the orchestra and a 100-person community choir under the direction of Maestro Matthew Wardell. The concert was performed at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church on State Road 200 in Ocala.
The Ocala Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1975, currently performs eight concerts a year at the Ocala Breeders Sales Auditorium, along with other special performances. It is a 501c3 non-profit corporation supported entirely by ticket sales, donations, sponsorships and grants, with offices in the Veranda Gallery & Tea Room located at 416 SE Fort King Street in Ocala. Performance dates and tickets for subscription concerts, as well as the new “SoundArt” series in partnership with the Appleton Museum of Art, are available at the OSO office or through www.ocalasymphony.com.
