In Florida 10 law enforcement agents have lost their lives in the line of duty this year.
Those men and women as well as the other 729 officers, since records were kept, were remembered during a special Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial Ceremony in front of the Fallen Officers Memorial at the McPhearson Government Complex on May 12.
Marion County Sheriff Ed Dean said each of those that died represented family members, someone serving citizens through their agencies, someone missed and someone called home.
