Young senior citizen celebrates 91stbirthday
The “pot-luck” dinner was very successful. About 40 residents enjoyed a grand array of food and an evening of fellowship. Dot Roberts’ apple pie was still warm from the oven! Dot celebrated her 91stbirthday last Saturday. Dot is a very spry, young senior citizen. She still drives her car and loves to participate in many of our activities.
Did you know that on Jan. 12th, Florida was the only state that didn’t have snow? Now, aren’t you glad you live here?
The Bloodmobile will be in the clubhouse parking lot on Monday, the 31st, from noon until 3 p.m. All first time donors must have a picture ID. Call Charlotte Payne if you have any questions.
Do you suffer from those annoying leg cramps in the middle of the night? If so, you might want to try this remedy: put a bar of Ivory soap at the foot of your bed (between the sheet and the mattress pad, or under the mattress pad). No one knows why this works, but there are many of us who will testify to its success.
Are you a poker player? The Wednesday afternoon poker players would love to have you join them. They play at the clubhouse every Wednesday from Noon until 4 p.m.
Many of our residents have been in the hospital recently because of illness and/or surgery. If you know of anyone who is ill or hospitalized, please let the Sunshine Lady, Margaret Gerace, know of it.
