A new amenity

By Patricia Gizzi

Del Webb Stone Creek opened a new amenity!
On July 7, Stone Creek now has a new RV and boat storage parking facility. It is located on 80th Avenue down the road from the entrance to Stone Creek.
Sean Strickler, division president for Del Webb in the west Florida region, said the new facility which is for RVs and boats is owned and operated by the Stone Creek HOA and is available for residents of the community.
Besides boats and recreational vehicles, the facility is available for specialty hobby trailers defined as open or closed trailers with single or double axle strictly for use in transporting classic or antique vehicles, motorcycles, small watercraft, ATVs or off-road motorbikes.
There will be a limit of one type of each vehicle per household. 53 spaces are available at a cost of $125 to $250 per year depending on size. Spaces were allocated by random drawing of residents’ names along with information including space size needed. There a few spots still available.
During the event, residents could enjoy tours of luxury RVS, take a tethered hot air balloon ride provided by Robert Carlton Balloons and Beyond. Corlis Adams was the winner of a free hot air balloon ride. Those in attendance could explore new boats onsite from Millers boating, receive discounts on sales or rentals from America Choice RV. If you got hungry, you could grab lunch from one of the delicious food trucks, BJ’s Fresh Express or Uncle Vinnie’s or enjoy frozen treats from Lynn’s ice cream while enjoying the music from Times of Your Life Entertainment. All of this was put together by our amazing Lifestyle Director, Kim Krystopa and her assistant, Chelsey Bexley. Kim had also planned on having golf carts showcased but the owner took ill.
Presently, Stone Creek features Reflection Bay which is an amenity center encompassing the Elan Spa which is a state-of-the art fitness center, the newly remodeled Reunion clubhouse with event gathering areas, recreational, social and educational activities to match the lifestyle of the residents. The Elan Spa features a heated indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a softball field, fishing pier, tennis, bocce, horseshoe, pickleball and tennis courts.
Ginger and Joe Shannon, who have an RV said, “We are so pleased.” Joe along with others worked with Del Webb Pulte to make this RV Park happen. It took a few years but it is now a reality.
Another great amenity added to our wonderful community to improve the lifestyle of Stone Creek residents!
